sippy cup

i can't believe it! she has figured out how to drink from a sippy cup!!

i have a confession though. she has been playing with a sippy cup for months now. i never could figure out why she couldn't get the water out. well i come to find out i never took the plastic plug out of the area where the water comes out of. oops.

mary ryan and i hung out at the neighborhood park today and she took a ride on the swing for a bit.

9 months

Today Mary Ryan is 9 months old! She had her check up and the stats are:
17lbs, 28 inches long.

She is almost crawling (as you can see from the picture) but hasn't mastered the art yet. {Brian if you are reading this, the shelves need to be secured into the wall asap).

She is eating lots of different foods and there hasn't been one thing to date that she doesn't like. She got really excited when she had a grilled cheese for the first time so that might be up there with the favorites. Lots of fun new sounds. Brian and I are convinced her first word will be 'Bella' since we are always yelling at Bella. The dogs are absolutely loving all the food that gets dropped on the floor. Mary Ryan has learned that if she puts her hand down, they will come. And she thinks it's really funny to do that. GREAT.

Sometimes she gets really annoyed with me taking so many pictures (as you can see from these posted). She actually closes her eyes anticipating the flash. I had to post them because they made me laugh.

mary ryan and tim's play{date}

we visited the kirk's this weekend where mary ryan's bf tim lives. they are so cute together! mary ryan laughed and giggled the entire time. i can't wait to get them together again!!

we're back..and with a tooth!

Things have been really busy for Brian and I in KC. Lots of traveling for Brian and a lot going on with me for work. And to top it off, i got attacked by the flu this week. It was pretty miserable but I'm happy to say it's gone! Needless to say, we are counting down the days until Florida.
Of course the day that I was laid up in bed, Mary Ryan sprouted her first tooth. It definitely lifted my spirits. And i think that might of explained why she was carrying on all day on Sunday (made for a long day!).
Sorry - no picture of the tooth yet. Mary Ryan is being a little shy about it.
