fresh tomatoes

excerpt from today's school blog:

While playing on the playground, Vanessa brought fresh tomatoes out for the children to explore. Some of the friends were eager to taste them, while some friends just looked and touched them. It was really interesting to watch the friends' facial expressions as they tried tasting the tomatoes. It was a really cool, unexpected learning experience!

I'm going to guess by this picture that MaryRyan did not like the taste of fresh tomatoes.

foamy soap

MaryRyan is happy to be back at school. When I dropped her off on Monday she ran right in and over to her friend Grace, bear hugged her and turned to me and said 'bye mommy'.

Here are some pics of her playing with 'foamy soap'. All the other friends covered themselves from head to toe. I guess she doesn't like to get messy?

today at school

This is a picture from one of her school blog posts this week. The caption her teacher put under it was:

Mary Ryan had her firefighter hat on, dress up shoes, and then grabbed a bag and said, "Bag, Bye Bye,"

It made laugh.

Fear? What fear?

We took MaryRyan to the pool and she had a blast. The pool has a slide just for tots MR's size and once MR got the hang of it she could stop going down it. Her first few times down, she flew down and immersed herself right in the water. I thought we would have a traumatized toddler on our hands but she thought it was hilarious and wanted to do it again. Growing up a pool rat myself, I am thrilled she is fearless of the water!
