october what?
can't believe it's october already! sorry i haven't posted in awhile. MR has been battling a nasty stomach bug for the last week so she has been 'home sick' from school. she's been having a blast! looks real sick right? she keeps telling us that her tummy hurts which is flat out heartbreaking coming from a 2 year old!
notice that most of these pics she is holding onto her monkey blanket. she doesn't seem to let that go these days.
she is chit chatting away now. she is also started to call me cath. nice. i was giving her a bath and walked out for a sec and she screamed 'CATH'. and out of instinct i answered. i thought that stage came later..like at 16 or 17 years.

2 year stats
MaryRyan had her 2 year old check up at the doctors on Friday. She is 27 lbs (50th percentile) and 3 ft tall (90th percentile). Huge growth spurt since her 18th month check up.

fresh tomatoes
excerpt from today's school blog:
While playing on the playground, Vanessa brought fresh tomatoes out for the children to explore. Some of the friends were eager to taste them, while some friends just looked and touched them. It was really interesting to watch the friends' facial expressions as they tried tasting the tomatoes. It was a really cool, unexpected learning experience!
I'm going to guess by this picture that MaryRyan did not like the taste of fresh tomatoes.

foamy soap
MaryRyan is happy to be back at school. When I dropped her off on Monday she ran right in and over to her friend Grace, bear hugged her and turned to me and said 'bye mommy'.
Here are some pics of her playing with 'foamy soap'. All the other friends covered themselves from head to toe. I guess she doesn't like to get messy?
